The Joinery Chamber Concert Series 1 - I Ate Mercury featuring Raven Aflakete and CAH 44

19th Aug 2011

8pm sharp

I Ate Mercury (James Mackin and Claire Fitch) featuring Raven Aflakete and CAH 44.

This project is based on the interaction between spoken word and instrumental improvisation. Using acoustic and electric sources, I Ate Mercury featuring Raven Aflakete and CAH 44 will bring together original poetry and music to create a sonic performance space where the artist is free to explore and where the listener can be immersed within this interactive sonic experience.

This is the first of a four-part series of intimate chamber concerts which will take place once a month over four months, from August to November 2011.

Ranging from the classical to the contemporary, the series will present the work of both emerging and established composers in an informal, experimental setting. Performances will include electronic and acoustic music, spoken word, voice and instrumental improvisation alongside composed works.
