Justin Larkin offers us a multi-faceted installation utilizing painting, sculpture, print and drawing. The work questions the relationships between image and object, exploring through placement and context the potential construction of narrative. Archetypal images are drawn from the worlds of cartoon animation, model making and the picture book tradition, serving as appropriated material that question our sense of reality and force specific pictorial ideals.

Justin Larkin is a graduate of NCAD and is currently studying for his MA in Printmaking at the Royal College of Art in London.

Justin Larkin was selected by The Joinery as part of their 2010 recent graduate programme.
