New work by Kelly Power and Stephan Roche.

Through painting and drawing, Kelly Power’s work considers the theme of displacement; detailed fragments and parts are described, rather than a whole. Unsettling and dark undertones permeate throughout the work, offering psychological insights to surface. In 2009, Power won the ‘Freyer Award from the RDS Arts Awards and earlier this year was awarded the Merit award at the Golden Fleece Awards.

Stephan Roche received the AIB drawing award in 2009 and was selected for the 2007 Drawing Awards. Upon graduating with BA in Fine Art (painting), he received a bursary award from Contact Studios in Limerick city. Roche currently lives and works in County Limerick. His work draws inspiration from his immediate surroundings.

Both Power and Roche are recent graduates of the Limerick School of Art and Design.
