...According to Land, Baby-pockets heard that Lampshade was thinking of making an offer so he sold it to Copper Sky for a song just to spite him…but who says Land’s an authority on the subject…

Who’s that now? celebrates a peculiar tradition of naming in a town that you might know. Each of the monikers illustrated has belonged to a familiar individual in this town. Over time and with use these names lose the creative wit, oddness, or sometimes cruelty, that they start out with. By collecting them together and presenting them as a series of fictional portraits, these names strive to reclaim their place as witty manifestations of imagination in everyday stories.

The work comprises of pen and ink drawings, screen-prints and paint.

Mark Wickham is an illustrator and designer from somewhere in the South West of Ireland. He has exhibited works in group shows both at home and abroad. This is his first solo exhibition.
